I’d estimate the Merry Wives are about 80% finished with vocals. We still have some instrumental tracks to record: a little bouzouki, a little bass, mandolin, bodhran, accordian, recorders, penny whistles, fiddle, cello, harp, and who knows what else.

I’ve heard rumors that they’re going to sneak a few previously unheard songs on to the CD.

I estimate they’ll be finished with tracking by the middle of November.

There are a few songs that will be recorded live, those aren’t done yet.

This is going to be a great CD. There are rockin tunes. There are sad tunes. There’s beautiful music, and kick-ass music.
I’m told tomorrow is the day of sopranos.

I’ll see if I can convince them to let me put up a sample rough mix of something once stuff starts sounding more complete.
